Digital inclusion: developing effective support practices that enable people with learning disabilities to access and use everyday technologies
In this session, Professor Jane Seale from the Open University will draw on her research and experience to outline what is needed in order to provide good support for people with learning disabilities to access and use technologies and provide advice and guidance on activities and resources for participants to try out in order to develop their digitally inclusive support practice.
At the end of the session participants will have developed their knowledge and understanding of:
1. What is needed in order to provide good support for people with learning disabilities to access and use technologies.
2.Activities they can implement to start to develop their digitally inclusive support practice
3. Resources they can access to further develop their digitally inclusive support practice
