Thermography: reducing caregiver burden in elderly care by preventing pressure ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers

On average, 11% of care home residents have pressure ulcers (PUs), and 27% have diabetes. Both PUs and diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) are preventable conditions but create significant caregiver burden and lower quality of life.

This talk examines how medical thermal imaging offers a groundbreaking, cost-effective solution for care homes, enabling proactive prevention of PUs and DFUs, enhancing resident welfare, and alleviating caregiver strain.
