What can the small coloured Danish building bricks tell us about retirement living?

01 May 2025
Care Providers' Voice Masterclasses
Everyone loves Lego and our Architects are no exception. The Carless + Adams team have designed and built an intergenerational retirement home and invite you to hear the design and build process based on real world experience and projects. Intergenerational living within urban environments can help solve a few of the UK’s issues – our ageing population and empty buildings in our cities and towns require focus to rebuild our communities. Learning Outcomes:
• Understanding the process for Architects and Technicians when they embark on a project
• The benefits to communities for intergenerational living
• How design can impact communities and individuals
• Comparing the UK offering to established later living provision overseas
• The future of care
