Orthotix was established in 2004 in the South Wales valley town of Merthyr Tydfil to manufacture and source affordable ready-made orthotic devices for local NHS hospitals.
Today, Orthotix flies the flag for Wales in a multi-national marketplace, operating out of a newly refurbished 25,000 square foot facility in Cardiff. Employing over twenty staff, the business manufactures and distributes a wide range of orthopaedic, rehabilitation, podiatry and sports medicine products to customers across the UK, Ireland and further afield.
The business operates an omni-channel model, supplying hospitals via direct tender award, distributing direct to the NHS including Acute Care, Primary Care and Residential Care, plus to private healthcare clinicians and practices, wholesale business to business, and direct to consumers via online platforms, or via its own network of orthotic clinics.
Orthotix forms part of a healthcare business group owned by PTH Enterprises Ltd, which is run by the third generation of the same family that set up the founding company, Dacey Ltd in 1972.

An award winning multi-disciplinary team of dedicated trade, retail and e-commerce managers work alongside an in-house team of Healthcare Assistants to provide an unrivalled customer service experience. A competent and friendly customer service team has underpinned the success of Orthotix to date and remains a principal focus for the future.
Orthotix supplies a continually expanding range of orthopaedic, rehabilitation, podiatry and sports medicine products which encompass the entire body from head to toe. Whether it be supports, splints, bracing or other orthoses, they are all designed to offer medically approved solutions for common injuries, pathologies and conditions. All products are class 1 medical devices, CE & UKCA marked and fully compliant with the Medical Device Regulations.
The Orthotix own-branded product ranges are developed in the UK via a specialist network of Healthcare Professionals which include Orthotists, Physiotherapists and Podiatrists. This enables the continual development, trialling and testing of new and innovative products which can then be manufactured on-site in Wales or by approved manufacturing partners.

Italian partners Pavis have been manufacturing soft orthopaedic goods since the early 1960’s. The success of their longevity lies in the luxurious pure cotton fabrics which they have continued to use in their fabrication processes.
