We’ve put together a list of things to see, activities to do, and places to eat within 20 minutes of ExCeL London. 

Places to see: 

• Visit Greenwich Park and enjoy a boat ride: take the scenic route from Royal Wharf Pier to Greenwich in Uber boat to visit Greenwich park and enjoy one of London’s most iconic views. To find out about tickets and schedule for Uber boat visit: Route Map - Uber Boat by Thames Clippers 

• Indulge in some art: visit Now Gallery, a free exhibition space for contemporary art in Greenwich Peninsula, or Trinity Bouy Wharf, centre for arts and cultural activities by the river Thames, and home to London’s only lighthouse.  

• Visit one of London’s largest roof gardens: go for a walk and connect with nature in Crossrail Place Roof Garden in Canary Wharf.  

• Take the cable car and dine in Greenwich peninsula: only a few minutes away from the ExCeL London, the cable car takes you across the river to Greenwich peninsula, a modern neighbourhood filled with restaurants, cafes and casual dining spots. Things to do 

• Catch a show nearby at The O2 or The Space 

• If you are feeling adventurous, why not climb the roof of the O2 for stunning views of the city? For more information and tickets you can visit: Up at The O2 Up at The O2 Climbs (aegeurope.com) 

• Up for some old-school fun? Visit Fairgame, a funfair venue for adults who want to let out their inner child. 

• Love a colourful Instagram feed? Then you should check the Selfie Factory inside the O2:  

Where to eat 

• Just outside of ExCeL you can visit Top 1 Forever or Bonnane Restaurant & Pizzeria 

• For wonderful city views and artisanal cuisine head over to Bokan London. You can also go to their rooftop bar for just a drink.  

• Not sure what you fancy? Have a walk around Greenwich Peninsula or Canary Wharf and explore their many restaurants. 

• For a daytime meal or dessert on the go you can visit Greenwich Market which features dozens or food stalls and shops.
