The Care Workers’ Charity Attends The Care Show Birmingham: A Fantastic Opportunity to Connect with the Care Sector

The Care Workers' Charity (CWC) had the pleasure of attending The Care Show Birmingham this year, and what a fantastic event it was! It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and meet new ones, all passionate about improving the care sector and supporting care workers.

At The CWC, we are dedicated to providing essential support to care workers across the UK, helping those who face financial hardship or personal crises. Over the years, we’ve helped thousands of care workers through emergency grants, mental health support, and advocacy. From individuals facing unforeseen life challenges to those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, our charity has been a vital lifeline, offering financial assistance and resources when it’s needed most.

How We Help Care Workers

Our core focus is providing support to care workers. We offer crisis grants to care workers who have encountered difficult circumstances, from illness or injury to housing issues and bereavement. We believe that care workers are the backbone of the care sector, and they deserve access to the help they need in their hardest moments.

So far, The Care Workers' Charity has supported over 12,400 care workers, providing over £6.2 million in grants to those in desperate need. Whether through a financial crisis or supporting their mental health and wellbeing, we work tirelessly to ensure that no care worker faces hardship alone.

Fundraising Efforts and How You Can Get Involved

Our ability to help care workers relies on the incredible generosity of our supporters and corporate sponsors. From nationwide campaigns like Professional Care Workers’ Week, Soar For A Cause and Walks for Care to events like our Winter Prize Draw and the Fire and Lego Experience, our fundraising efforts play a crucial role in enabling us to reach more care workers every year. Additionally, we are fortunate to have partnerships with companies like Clece Care Services, Access and UniqueIQ, who support our mission through fundraising, sponsorship and collaborative projects.

But there’s always more that can be done — and we need your help to continue making a difference. By becoming a corporate sponsor, supporter member, donating, or raising awareness through fundraising activities, you can directly impact the lives of care workers in need.
