Alex Nash
Head of Assistive Technology,
Access HSC
Alex founded Alcuris, while studying engineering at university. The motivation came following his grandfather's dementia diagnosis. Alex wanted to change the way that technology was used to support people who draw on support. Alcuris Ltd was set up to prolong the independence of people living at home, to provide positive reassurance of their wellbeing to friends and family and to use insight derived from data to enable better and earlier care decision making, leading to improved outcomes across the care continuum. Alex and Alcuris’s innovative services have been recognised by the British Data Awards, Future Health Innovation Awards and more recently, the Great British Care Awards. In November 2021 Alcuris, now Access Assure, was acquired by the Access Group; recognising the value that comes from proactive care insights which allow professional caregivers and care receivers to make better care intervention decisions to improve personal outcomes. Alex continues within the business as Head of Assistive Technology.
