Speakers

Sarah is the Director of the Substance Misuse and Ageing Research Team (SMART) and leads a portfolio of addiction research at the University of Bedfordshire. Her research interests include the use of alcohol, addictive medicines and illegal drugs among older people and activities associated with addiction in people experiencing Multiple Exclusion Homelessness including street sex work, 'begging' and street drinking. She passionately believes that people are experts in their own lives and hold powerful visions for change. By placing their stories, experiences and vision at the centre of her research, she ensures that their voices and perspectives are amplified.
