Ian has worked in social care in London in one form or another for nearly 40 years. Starting out on a Community Alarm Service, to being a social worker to managing and developing care services, and even had a spell in the charity sector as a Director of Services for a national Older People’s Charity. He currently works in SE London as a Programme Manager for the SE London Directors of Adult Social Care and The local ICB’s Place Based Executives, working on the interface and collaboration between health and social care. He brings not only his professional knowledge and experience to his work but the experience of being carer and volunteer with a local older person’s charity.
