Registered Manager of The Year”, Leaders in Care Awards, 2023 Since 2008 I have gained valuable experience in the care sector, initially as a health care assistant, supporting the out-of-hours district nursing service. Working alongside specialist nurses, I became experienced in high quality end of life care. Whilst challenging, ensuring an individual is comfortable, treated with dignity, and pain free throughout end of life care, is one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I specialised in Dementia care within a residential setting, which provided an insight into the challenges faced by those living with this progressive disease, and the challenges, demands and pressures that come with this area of the sector. Whilst in a managerial role, I completed a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, successfully securing my first Registered Care Manager position, aged 25 years. I have been instrumental in establishing two successful domiciliary care organisations. The first, a large UK franchise, and the second, Kingsway Care, where I have worked since 2021. Kingsway Care is the number one care provider in Brighton and Hove.
