Lorena has extensive experience in various aspects of health and social care. Lorena has worked in community inclusion with unpaid carers, editorial role for nursing times creating content around learning disability, patient experience positions with NHS England leadership academy, and service management in national self-advocacy and adult autism services for a large charity. Lorena is passionate about integrating experiences into her teaching. Her PhD focuses on health and social inequalities for individuals with learning disabilities, inspired by her adult son's experiences. Lorena considers it an honour to use her background to contribute to the development of the health and social care workforce, both in Lincolnshire and beyond.
