Loucia Kyprianou is a non-practising solicitor who worked as a local authority child protection lawyer for most of her career. Loucia joined the NMC in 2016 and has worked across the East of England and Scotland including more broadly on a national level with independent health providers. In its Corporate Plan 23-25, the NMC set out its ambitions to expand the national and local outreach within social care, private and voluntary sectors. To support delivery of that ambition Loucia has now moved into a newly established role as Regulation Adviser for Independent Health and Social Care. With a background in social welfare, Loucia is passionate about working more closely with these sectors to embed regulation, support, and influence at local level.
