Founder & Director, Stylus Consulting
I am the Founder/Director of Stylus Consulting, my early career spanned ten years in hospitality and retail management which set a template for future successes in the private and public employment and education sectors. I am a proud lifelong learner with a solid resume of professional and academic qualifications. I run a consultancy specialising in International Employment and Education. I have over twenty years experience working in leadership roles across a wide range of global businesses. I have developed commercial strategies for public and private sector interests around the world delivering International Healthcare Recruitment, Transnational Education (TNE), Internationalisation in Education, TVET (Skills Education), English Language Teaching, Equivalency Training for International Workforce Mobility, and University Pathways Preparation. I hold a Masters in Education (Leadership and Management), and a post-graduate Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults. I am also a certified Design Thinking Facilitator. I speak at international conferences and symposia on the development of Transnational Employment, Skills Education, TNE and Internationalisation. I have over thirty years of professional experience as a hospitality manager, retail manager, education practitioner, teacher educator, academic director, college principal, and brand operations director. I have sat on management boards, chaired steering committees, and launched overseas businesses. Most recently I was Group International Director for a global college and schools group holding strategic responsibility for all international markets; TNE and internationalisation at home. I have deep expertise in the Indian Skills training and deployment space where I have brokered a UK-India skills mobilisation arrangement with the National Skills Development Corporation International, Gov of India - with a stated ambition to recruit thousands of nurses to the UK in the NHS and the Social Care sector. I am working with Health and Social Care stakeholders in the UK to broker direct agreements with the Indian Government to this end. Finally, I have had significant successes in the Chinese International Education market where I have won £MM government contracts, and achieved MOE approval for UK-China TNE tie-ups. In addition, I have well established networks in South Asia, SE Asia, and Central Asia having directly developed 50+ B2B commercial arrangements.
